Born and Raised in Singapore, Vanessa has always been connected to the arts ever since she was born. 

She breathes art.



Apart from being a film student, Vanessa is also a trained theater actress and she graduated with an O'level certificate in Drama and is now currently performing with Theatre Of Gifts.



Vanessa's ambition as a child was to work in the movie industry in Hollywood and therefore she is  currently pursuing her Diploma in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics in Singapore Polytechnic. 



Vanessa has been an art director ever since her first film that she was involved in, face 2. She continued to work hard on every production, giving more standard and expectations than the previous film. The film that she had gave her best effort to as of date, Enigma, a psychological crime thriller, got into top 10 of citizen.tv film category 2014 and Finalist for adeys.tv film category 2014. Apart from building sets and directing the art, Vanessa is also involved in the special effects makeup department.

During her first year in polytechnic, Vanessa did not pay any attention to her graphic design class, hated illustrator, but somehow passion for graphic design stirred inside her, and now she is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator is her favourite software of all time. She has worked on external projects, clients involving Night Owl Cinematics, The Communication Cove etc. Her team clinched the first prize in an animation competition conducted by NTUC to introduce Progressive Wage model to low income earners. She was involved with illustrating and creating the storyboard

Vanessa has also been a director throughout her polytechnic years; she is now currently directing Saudade, her FYP project.
